Counting down the days.
In 3 weeks time we will leave Nelson to begin our journey. We will leave the calm seas of the Waimea Estuary and drive north to Auckland visiting family on the way. But in the meantime packing packing packing. Family is here for Christmas / New Year. We have sold most of the furniture in the house apart from one bed, so there are mattresses on the floor and boxes, and more boxes everywhere.

Pitcairn in the News
Seems like there is a fascination by many with what happens on a tiny island in the middle of no-where.

On The Rock
It was 11 years ago that Paul and Ruth Shelling saw a small article in a newspaper about teaching in Papua New Guinea. 9 months later the Shelling family were there in Papua New Guinea, teaching for 2002 and 2003.
This time we saw an article about Pitcairn Island in September and we will be there 4.5 months afterward.
